About a year ago I made a skincare purchase that has completely changed my skin, I saw that both this one and the matte version were on offer in John Lewis so I decided to treat myself because my skin had been majorly playing up and I wanted something to give it a deep clean without drying it out and I found exactly that. This is the Lancome creme-mouse comfort cleanser and it's an amazing consistency, it's a thick creme/mouse that foams up when you add water.

So the way I use this is to apply a 5p sized amount to my face (yes thats all you need) when my skin is dry but after I've taken my makeup off. So technically this is a second cleanse because I use the bodyshop cleansing oil to take off my makeup first. This cleanser is rose scented which I was slightly concerned about because scented things and acne prone skin are not a good combination and I find fragranced skincare breaks me out even more.

So once I've massaged this into my entire face I'll wet my hands and then use the water to break up the cream, and it turns into a light foamy wash which is lovely. This cleanser really gets deep into my pores and gives it a deep clean but I love how soft my face feels afterwards and I think that's definitely down to the rose extract.

I've been using this cleanser for a year and honestly my skin is not the same without it in my routine. A tube of this lasted me from June last year until November so a good 6 months and I was using it morning and night religiously. It took me until March to repurchase because I didn't want to spend any money on skincare, however my skin once again kicked off and was seriously broken out and started to be really painful and stubborn to clear up so I repurchased this cleanser and my skin is back to being happy and healthy.

The biggest difference I've noticed is how bright and healthy my skin looks, I've had friends comment on how good my skin is these days and I put it all down to this lil beauty. I would much rather invest in skincare rather than makeup, because I think skincare not only lasts longer but the effects of good skincare lasts a lot longer also. I would love to try some of the other bits from Lancome's skincare line because I have been seriously impressed with this cleanser and I will definitely continue to use this for the foreseeable future.

If you have any skincare recommendations for me, please let me know! I'm hoping to do an entire post all about the importance of active ingredients in skincare and what to look for when shopping for skincare. If anyone has any blog post requests please get in touch either on twitter or by emailing me at theinterndiariesxo@gmail.com

Have a good week everyone!
